Hello,

000072360009_28A.jpg

My name is Ayeisha Sheldon and welcome to my digital portfolio and website! I am a geospatial analyst, development consultant and freelance designer and editor. I have a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geographical Information Systems, from the University of Queensland (2016) and a Masters of Geospatial Science, distinction, from RMIT, Melbourne (2020).

I have over two years of professional geospatial experience, which I gained between my Bachelors and Masters. During this time I worked for the Geoinformatics Center at the Asian Institute of Technology and the United Nations ESCAP both in Thailand. I am currently working at UNOSAT-UNITAR, in Geneva, Switzerland.

My passions lie in geospatial design, GIS web development, urban geography and drone/ UAV technology. I am particularly interested in human development and sustainable development and believe that geospatial data and applications are an essential contributor. I am active in the geospatial community and try to be involved in relevant events and conferences and undertake extra learning initiatives.

I believe myself to be a very positive, confident and friendly individual that always strives to achieve goals both inside and outside the workplace. I am highly driven, motivated and comfortable with positions of leadership and responsibility. Prior to my graduate jobs, I worked as a team leader and manager within the customer service and retail industry for over five years. This taught me many life skills, such as working with colleagues of all ages and how to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment.

I have also travelled and lived overseas, this has taught me how to build strong resilience as a young individual.

I really strive in new environments and like to explore and adventure out of my comfort zone.
